Krisna E. Putranto is a film editor based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. His practice spans documentary, fiction, experimental film, music videos, and interdisciplinary art projects. He has been actively involved with Festival Film Dokumenter Yogyakarta from 2008 to 2022 and has undertaken specialised training in film editing and post-production through JAFF Education and Jogja DocLab.

His recent editing credits include Sola Fata (2026), directed by T.A. Kusno, which screened at the International Film Festival Rotterdam; After Colossus (2024), selected for Berlinale Shorts; Next Gen Voters (2024); Dia Pergi dan Belum Kembali (2024); Healing Is a Right (2023); The Flood (2022); and A Letter to the Future (2021). He also worked as assistant editor on Yihwen Chen’s feature documentary Queer as Punk (2025), which screened at IDFA, the Berlin International Film Festival, SXSW London, and the Singapore International Film Festival.

Several films he has contributed to have received national and international recognition. Dia Pergi dan Belum Kembali and A Letter to the Future were nominated for Best Short Documentary at Festival Film Indonesia, while The Flood received the Impact Award and UNESCO Award at the ONA Short Film Festival.

Beyond cinema, Krisna regularly collaborates with musicians, performing artists, and contemporary art institutions, including ARTJOG, bringing an interdisciplinary sensitivity to his approach to rhythm, structure, sound, and visual storytelling.
